When Andy and Brandie rode up for their session, I realized I was about to check something off my photography bucket list: Tandem Bicycle Engagement Photos! I did a little happy dance inside as we walked down the riverfront trail to the tower iron train bridge that would be the other focus and backdrop of the evening. We were checking off allllll the things I’ve been wanting to use!
Not only was I stoked about the props and backgrounds for their session, but as we walked and talked our way along, it felt like I was meeting up with old friends even though we’d just met. Andy and Brandie exude love and happiness, and it was such a joy capturing them all evening.
As fate would have it, Andy and Brandie were actually born in the same hospital in Wheat Ridge only four years apart, though neither of them lived there the rest of their lives. They met here in the valley through mutual friends and the rest is history! They are so playful and joyful, the truest of soulmates, and I’m so happy they found each other so I could capture their love!
We played around the riverfront in the evening glow, even making our way down to the (very full) river for a few barefoot shots along the water (Andy can confirm the water was COLD! ha!) And of course we had to play a little bit with the bikes, and do some shots showing off her beautiful new ring. Andy’s birthstone is sapphire, so he had the halo rimmed with blue sapphires that are a beautiful and unique little touch! Anyway, enough from me, take a peek at some of my favorite moments from their engagement adventure:
