A few months after Chelsea began calling Jared her boyfriend, the two finally actually met at a party in college. Nine years later they were married in a backyard micro wedding in Grand Junction. A long time in the making, it was an incredible celebration with everyone stoked to see them finally tie the knot.
I asked Chelsea and Jared what they were most excited for, besides actually getting married. They said, “Celebrating our relationship with our friends. It’s been long coming and we are all so excited and after the year of not seeing each other much, it will be amazing to be care free!” With restrictions so recently lifting, their entire event was held outside at the most scenic backyard venue. Complete with a beautiful pond, view of the monument, Mesa AND Mt. Garfield, and an impressive sunset to start the night of dancing, it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting.
Chelsea planned a dessert bar with take home boxes for everyone to get their share of goodies, from cookies and donuts to cheesecakes and macarons. Succulents adorned every table. The two also planned possibly my favorite thing I’ve seen at a wedding: their moms were the flower girls! I highly encourage it, they clearly had a lot of fun!
Anyway, enough talk. Take a peek at some of my favorite moments from Chelsea and Jared’s backyard micro wedding in Grand Junction:
