Matt and Christine’s Cross Orchards wedding was practically fate. The pair originally met on the campus of the Museums of the West Cross Orchards site that would lead them on a hike to Dominguez Canyon. They quickly bonded over their love of history, hiking and exploring the area, and fondness for trains and the Amtrak. As they continued enjoying time together, their relationship continued, leading to planning their wedding — and Cross Orchards on the day they first met was an easy choice!
“We wanted something low-key, historic, and rustic. The colors came naturally when thinking of the outdoors and the mountains. The center pieces of dried lavender in antique mason jars just came together while perusing antique stores for ideas.” Christine told me. The concepts all came together beautifully on the big day – wonderfully bringing the historic barn to life for the celebration!
Cross Orchards has been working on elevating some of their event spaces and offerings, and the beauty of this property has always seemed so cool to me. It was an honor to get to work with the authentic trains, the historic barn and barn loft, and of course the Model T Ford that the pair exited their ceremony in! I’ll let the photos do the talking now – enjoy my faves from Matt & Christine’s Cross Orchards Wedding here in Grand Junction:
