Emily and Alex celebrated their wedding back in Kansas, their home state, in a COVID-style smaller celebration than initially planned. Some of their friends and family couldn’t be in attendance due to the pandemic, but a couple of her friends decided to gift the couple with post-wedding photos on the Monument back here in Colorado. I think this is the sweetest gift!
I met up with the newlyweds on the Colorado National Monument on a particularly windy day, but being from Kansas (and Iowa myself) they were not afraid of a little (okay, a lot) of wind. I would say the wind in Emily’s hair really added to some of the photographs beautifully! We explored the area and incorporated a few photos with her wedding bouquet made from wooden flowers. I’m always finding more and more reasons to love this alternative to fresh flowers!
As the sun lowered toward the horizon we set out to my favorite overlook and we got the most romantic photos with the canyon below. Take a peek at some of my favorites from their post wedding photos on the Monument:
