Maybe you started planning a traditional wedding, but everything felt all wrong.

The idea of being the center of 100s of people’s attention all day sounds like a nightmare.

You knew that throwing a big party actually meant you wouldn’t have time to see everyone, or spend time with your new spouse.

You believe your wedding day should be an intimate celebration focused on your love for each other and who you are as a couple!

You're not afraid to throw away tradition and do things however the heck you want.

If this is all sounding just like you, choosing to have a micro wedding may be the ultimate path for you!

What is a Micro Wedding?

A micro wedding - also known as a tiny wedding or a minimony, among other names - is exactly what it sounds like: a small wedding. Typically the most agreed upon number of guests is under 50 people, with most micro weddings including under 30. It's a non-traditional wedding day that focuses on intimacy and flexibility, giving you the freedom to celebrate your wedding day your way.

Sounds perfect!

Imagine your wedding day that’s completely about your love for one another.

Imagine feeling fully comfortable without hundreds of guests to entertain and worry about.

Imagine spending your wedding day together, doing what you love.

Imagine having a pro with over ten years of experience on your side the help you with every step of the way so you feel completely prepared.

Imagine spending a fraction of the money on your celebration, so you can save that money toward an incredible trip or a down payment on a new home.

Imagine having the flexibility to plan your perfect day, whether that includes a morning hike, a ceremony & brunch, or a beautiful high alpine micro wedding venue. Your day is fully your own.

Imagine reliving the best day of your life every time you look through your photographs.

Totally lost on how to host a micro wedding?

You've decided an intimate wedding is more your speed. But what now?

Don't worry - i got you.

I’ve got guides for many areas (Crested Butte, Grand Junction, Ouray, Moab...) with all the what-to-do, where-to-eat, everything-you-need-to-know background to feel like a local for your time in the area.

And so much more!

If you want a micro wedding without the traditional wedding venue (think eloping, but with some guests!) then I can totally help with the planning process. With over ten years of experience, I will be by your side through the planning process, offering my insight & expertise!

LOCATION planning

I help couples with location recommendations, if you don't already have a spot booked! I will verify how many guests are allowed and create a guide of locations that will suit your plans for your micro wedding day. I can also help liaison with official offices about any required permits we may need. I also know some amazing small wedding venues around the western slope if you're looking for a more official place to celebrate.

Whether you’re planning activities for your micro wedding day or just need help with timing the perfect sunset ceremony, I love to help my couples with creating the perfect timeline for the day. Anything that takes the stress off your plate is something I’m happy to help with!

From helping you brainstorm ideas you’ve never considered, to helping you with the logistics of making those ideas happen, consider me your go-to person to bounce things off of to craft the most amazing day you can imagine!

I love to help create a formals list so that we have a list of group shots to make sure we’re not missing any combos on the day-of and keep things running smoothly!

Having helped couples get married in these areas for over eight years now, I’ve gotten to know plenty of pros to recommend to help bring your visions to life.

Your wedding day should feel comfortable.

I help couples craft their dream wedding day that is private, comforting, and stress-free.

You don't have to be anxious about your wedding day!

I specialize in drinking chai tea lattes, and watching Gilmore Girls reruns! I also specialize in capturing the story & scenery of your celebration.

As a full service wedding photographer in Grand Junction, my mission is to preserve your favorite moments in beautiful images for you to relive those best moments of life that fly by too fast.

A Little About Me...

I believe there’s no better sight than the night sky at 10,000 feet.

I also believe you should be able to be authentically you on your wedding day. Whether that’s an off-beat elopement or more traditional wedding celebration, I strive to capture each genuine moment.

I strive to capture the day as it unfolds, every candid moment to perfectly preserve your story. I’m a fly on the wall and many guests say they never noticed me! However I’m not afraid to step up and make family formals fly by (people need to know where to stand and what to do with their hands!) I’m a happy medium between posed and candid.

-Beth & Dustin

We used Amanda for our wedding and she is the BEST! Our photos turned out amazing and she captured the feel of our night perfectly. She’s also really fun to hang with. We didn’t want her to leave at the end of the night!

-Allison & Ethan

Amanda is the perfect wedding photographer. She’s efficient, she gets absolutely all the shots you want and those you didn’t even know you want, and she just blended into our event perfectly. The photos perfectly captured the whole day and I feel like I can easily relive it just by looking back at the photos. I highly recommend Amanda.

- Brittney & Brandon

Amanda was absolutely amazing! We traveled from out of state to do a destination engagement photoshoot and she made the planning experience stress free! She helped us each step of the way from the initial contact, to picking a location, picking a date for the perfect snow-covered mountain weather, to the actual photoshoot poses.

- Kylie & Murat

Amanda did an amazing job on our elopement photos! She was incredibly organized during all the planning and sent incredibly helpful tips and ideas in the months leading up. Plus all her recommendations for other local vendors were fantastic.
