Emily and Alex celebrated their wedding back in Kansas, their home state, in a COVID-style smaller celebration than initially planned. Some of their friends and family couldn’t be in attendance due to the pandemic, but a couple of her friends decided to gift the couple with post-wedding photos on the Monument back here in Colorado. I think this is the sweetest gift!

I met up with the newlyweds on the Colorado National Monument on a particularly windy day, but being from Kansas (and Iowa myself) they were not afraid of a little (okay, a lot) of wind. I would say the wind in Emily’s hair really added to some of the photographs beautifully! We explored the area and incorporated a few photos with her wedding bouquet made from wooden flowers. I’m always finding more and more reasons to love this alternative to fresh flowers!
