Getting to Kiser Creek Cabins
Distance from nearest town: 1 hr 14 min (64.7 mi) from Grand Junction – 34 min (25.0 mi) from Delta – 58 min (45.6 mi) from Montrose
To fly: Flying to Kiser Creek Cabins, you would either fly into Denver International Airport and drive over, which would be a long drive, or you would fly into Grand Junction or Montrose which are both much closer! You would then drive from there (distances included above.)
To drive: From Denver you would take Interstate 70 toward Grand Junction, getting off at the exit for the Grand Mesa and Highway 65 which takes you over the Mesa to the cabins.
From Grand Junction you can either take that same direction – I-70 to the Grand Mesa exit for Highway 65 – or you can drive south on Highway 50 to Delta and take Highway 92 up the Mesa to the cabins.
From Montrose, you would come north on Highway 50 to Delta, taking Highway 92 up the Mesa to the cabins.
Other travel notes: Be aware that the cabins will be muddy in springtime and snowy all winter. The area is on the side of the Grand Mesa, which is a 10,000 ft tall mountain even if it is flat topped!

Capacity: Guest capacity in the lodge and cabins is about 50 people. Wedding Guest capacity is over 200 guests, but they wouldn’t all be able to stay on site. They do have room for some tents and campers in addition to the cabins though.

What’s included: Each cabin is unique, but they all offer comfortable sleeping arrangements, a hot shower, access to the central outdoor area, and access to the main lodge. Your wedding rental includes access to their event tents as well. The cabins have no curfew and no check out time on Sunday, which gives you freedom and flexibility for your event! You will usually have access to a couple of cabins a day early as well, so can can start decorating in advance.

At the cabins itself, there is most notably the lawn and gorgeous shade trees, along with the cute and rustic exteriors of the cabins. You’re also a short drive up to the top of the Grand Mesa where you have access to forests, creeks, aspen groves, stunning overlooks, and many lakes. You can hop on the water, take a hike, or stop along the roadside views – as much adventure as you’d like awaits!
Where to Host a Wedding Reception at Kiser Creek Cabins
Reception options at Kiser Creek Cabins may include:
- An outdoor pavilion for an al fresco celebration (smaller in size, best combined with tents outside the lodge or for a micro wedding)
- A rustic barn or lodge for a cozy indoor reception (limited to a small elopement with guests as the cabins are smaller in size)

Most couples will opt for the tents outside the cabins, sometimes using the pavilion space for dancing, and lawn games on the lawn!
