Drew and Caitlin’s wedding at Two Rivers Winery has been long awaited, having been postponed for the pandemIc last year. The two met in Costa Rica on a CMU spring break trip, after which both recall thinking they needed to get to know each other better (and Caitlin admitting that she knew she wanted to marry him after the first date!) A couple years after that magical trip came another beautiful trip that escalated their relationship to engaged. Caitlin recalls:
“He proposed in Kuai on the cliffs! It was magical. Whales even breached and slapped their tales afterward. He told me from watching the sunrises in Costa Rica to watching the sunset in Kuai it represented him wanting to be with me from beginning to end.”
You can easily see why their wedding was themed around travel. Caitlin had initially wanted to elope to Italy way back before planning a wedding, but Drew wanted the big traditional wedding with all their loved ones so Two Rivers Winery was the perfect combination of concepts with the vineyards and dreamy chateau backdrop! They had a passport themed invitation and global details all over the day to tie everything together.
Their first look came with a prank from Drew’s best man who donned a white dress to crash the reveal in Caitlin’s place. Drew and all the guys gathered around couldn’t stop laughing! Finally Caitlin actually came (for real this time) to share their first look, and I don’t think there was a single dry eye among us. After so much anticipation and waiting, having the moment finally there was magical.
The festivities were a blast from beginning to end, and the night wound down to their grand exit: a paper plane send-off as they rode away in a Ferrari. It was the most beautiful day. Take a peek at my favorite moments from their Two Rivers Winery wedding:
