Erin and Bryton’s Ouray ghost town elopement was the best combination of all of my favorite parts of elopements. We got to explore a ghost town, which right off the bat is one of the best things. Pair that with some secluded private vows, tromping through the snow, windy overlooks, and permission to celebrate your love in your own way? Perfection.
These two initially had plans of a larger (though still somewhat small) wedding day, but quickly realized that being in the spotlight all day was not for them. I know that’s definitely a common thought among the couples I work with – myself included! You might think an elopement is still just a half day or full day of a photoshoot, so you’re still in the spotlight all day… but you would be wrong! By creating an elopement day that’s filled with things you love to do in places you love to explore, the photos come naturally and are actually the secondary part of the day. The first is the experience! You should spend the day how you want, and the photos should capture the day as it unfolds for you to remember forever.
I really don’t even have the words to put this sweet elopement into words, so I’m gonna let the images do the talking. Take a peek at my favorite moments from this Ouray ghost town elopement:
