Even living here 5+ years now, I feel like there’s so much to the area that’s left unexplored. That proved to be especially true when I got to capture Jennis and Garrett’s fall engagement photos on Glade Park last weekend. We found the most incredible fall backdrop!
Garrett took us up to a campground he was familiar with full of aspens whose leaves were beginning to change to their beautiful fall yellow. We explored the area and found a bunch of beautiful scenery, and we were accompanied for most of the shoot by a number of deer! The spot was absolutely perfect to capture how much of their time they spend together outdoors. They are both hunters and have FOUR dogs! Garrett had even just gotten back from a guiding trip to Alaska, and it was so cool to hear of his adventures up there.
Jennis and Garrett have been together since high school, and Jennis told me before the session that she loved how they’ve grown together rather than growing more different and apart over the years. As we walked through the area I could see that come to life in their interacting. They are so comfortable and confident with one another, and totally down to have a good time.
To jump off that, we of course had to include some quintessential 2020 photos — drinking a Corona. When you have to push your wedding back a year for a pandemic, it’s best to have a little fun with it in your pictures! Garrett and Jennis, thank you for inviting me along to capture your photos! Check out a few of my favorites from their fall engagement photos on Glade Park:
