It was a typical Colorado monsoon season afternoon as dark clouds gathered over the San Juan mountains on the horizon for Joe and Adrienne’s wedding at Top of the Pines. Standing in front of their loved ones with such a magnificent backdrop, the two exchanged their vows. With only a few sprinkles of rain as we wrapped up the formal photos, we definitely lucked out on the weather!

There were many mentions that day of what a dream-come-true wedding this was. Adrienne had longed for a wedding in the San Juan mountains for years, and that wish came true for her! Top of the Pines has the most exquisite view of the mountain peaks (still adorned with snow even in August – another dream fulfilled!) and they truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot to promise to forever.

During his speech at the reception, Adrienne’s father spoke on a memory during the planning process. He recalled how her mother asked Adrienne how she knew Joe was the one, and she said simply, “He makes me laugh, every day.”

Adrienne wore a ring from her mother as her something old, borrowed and blue. The detail on her dress went perfectly with the historic Beaumont Hotel aesthetic, with her wildflower bouquet pulling in the meadow feel of Top of the Pines. It was beautiful! Joe’s dance with his mother went from traditional to a medley of modern dance routines – to the laughter and cheering of all the guests.
