There’s something truly magical about a Marble Colorado elopement, especially when the weather decides to add its own dose of adventure. Chloe and Conner’s intimate day was the perfect blend of spontaneity, history, and the wild beauty that makes the Colorado Rockies so unforgettable. With their loyal pup Fey by their side, a cozy porch ceremony, and the charm of Marble’s historic mill site, their elopement was a reminder that the best moments are often the ones you never planned for. If you’re dreaming of a non-traditional, heartfelt wedding experience, let their story inspire your own.

Getting Ready Together—Rain, Laughter, and Puppy Kisses

As the predicted rain poured outside, Chloe and Conner easily laughed it off and embraced the adventure, helping each other get ready for their big day. There’s something incredibly special about couples preparing together, especially when you add a furry friend like Fey into the mix. Fey’s excitement was contagious, and her gentle presence set a relaxed, joyful tone for the evening. Instead of worrying about the weather, Chloe and Conner leaned into the moment—zipping up dresses, buckling jewelry, and laughing at the timing of the random cloud burst. It was a reminder that elopements are about the two of you (and maybe your dog!), not about perfection.

A Porch Ceremony with Hummingbirds and Handfasting

As the rain stopped we knew everything was now wet, so we shifted the ceremony to the cute porch of their charming vacation rental. The space was cozy and inviting, decorated with flowers and the lush green backdrop of the mountains in summer. As Chloe and Conner exchanged vows, hummingbirds zipped in and out, adding a touch of wild magic to the scene. Their handfasting ceremony was especially touching—Fey serving as the most devoted witness, tail wagging as her humans tied the knot (literally).

Exploring the Marble Mill Site—History, Beauty, and Epic Photos

After the ceremony, we ventured out to the Marble Mill Site, one of the town’s most iconic locations. With its storied past and dramatic marble ruins, the site provided a stunning backdrop for photos. Chloe’s dress trailing down the path with wildflowers on either side, Conner showing us some of the remaining walls of the mill, and exploring the Crystal River side made our adventure at the site so much fun. The history of Marble, Colorado, added another layer of meaning to their day—reminding us that love, like these old stones, endures through the wildest storms.

A Toast to Forever—Champagne, BBQ, and Cake

No Marble Colorado elopement would be complete without a celebration, and Chloe and Conner’s was as delicious as it was heartfelt. Back at the rental, they popped a bottle of champagne, toasting to their new season of life with laughter as the pressure of the altitude really added to the pop. For dinner, they enjoyed Slow Groovin BBQ, a local favorite known for its smoky flavors and laid-back vibe. Their evening ended with slices of cake, cozy blankets, and the satisfaction of a day spent exactly how they wanted—together, in nature, with good food and their best friend at their feet.

Why Marble, Colorado is Perfect for Your Elopement
