Rachel and Thomas’ Powderhorn Mountain Resort wedding was a beautiful early autumn day. They decorated the ski resort venue with sunflowers and fall florals, with emerald green accents throughout. The pair decided on Powderhorn for their wedding venue because of their mutual love of the Grand Mesa. Tom’s family have a cabin on the Mesa, so it’s a special place that just made perfect sense to get married up there!
Rachel told me she added emerald as an accent color for the day because her mom also had emerald at her wedding. She also wore her mom’s veil as her something old/borrowed, and her socks were her something blue. It was insane how perfectly her mom’s veil matched her dress, each adorned with ivory lace.
Powderhorn redid some of their base lodge reception room this summer, and the minor changes looked so incredible! Rachel and Tom made their centerpieces with whiskey bottles and fall foliage, which really tied everything together beautifully. They had a stunning mountainscape cake for cutting, complete with a dessert table full of cookies, cupcakes and mini pies for their guests.
With a UFC fight on, yard games and dancing, the crew partied into the night to celebrate these two. Take a peek at some of my favorite moments from their Powderhorn Mountain Resort wedding:
