When Sam and Allison told me they wanted to do their engagement photos near Gateway in order to get desert vibes to offset their mountain elopement this fall, I was stoked. That’s an area of the state I am dying to explore more, especially the crazier Moab gets. It’s like Moab vibes without any other people around (and a closer drive!) We explored some public lands in the middle of nowhere, with towering red cliffs draping the backdrop. Their pup came along and was so cooperative it was amazing! They changed partway through into their hiking gear to capture some images as the true way they spend their free time, and we found some really awesome giant rocks that are both really cool and a little scary haha.
