I met up with Audrey and Robert for their engagement photos at sunrise on the Monument. Getting to the Colorado National Monument at sunrise is one of my all-time favorite ways to start a day! The weather is still cool, the park is as quiet as it gets, and the way the light comes up to drape the red rocks in that early morning glow, the rivers in the valley below reflecting the light, and the birds chirping with the song of a new day… there’s nothing like it.
Having met both of them when they were booking their wedding coming up this summer (so stoked – just wait!!) in the mountains, we thought about how it could be fun to have a totally different vibe (ie: desert) for their engagement photos. Their first meeting was so fun, I just knew our time together would be easy and fun as well – and I was right! They were up for the adventure, happy to do the “trust the process” prompts I gave them, and having a blast the whole morning. When given the amazing options we have around Grand Junction within an hour or two, they ultimately landed on just using the beauty of our own valley here and doing their session on the Monument. I truly will never get over how lucky we are to see this amazing beauty every day!
