Tabi and Patty’s Grand Mesa wildflower elopement morning was such a spectacular way to get married. I almost wish I could redo my micro wedding just to enjoy the day the same! We met up at a wildflower meadow for a morning picnic, complete with some pastries from Sweet Kiwi, juice, and champagne. The two soaked up the moments and marveled at the wildflowers surrounding them. It’s so important to find an accessible wildflower field for this type of thing so that you’re not damaging the ecosystem. Following trails and only putting down a blanket on bare earth made sure we were enjoying the space without leaving a trace. The pastries were such a delicious way to start a wedding day, too!
After the treats were enjoyed we brought in their two pups, Tugboat and Macaroni, to help sign their certificate as witnesses. Tabi and Patty came prepared with inkpad and paw wipes, necessities for success in having your dogs sign your marriage certificate! The pups signed (and snuck a few pastry crumbs lol) and the couple walked them back to the car so we could head to their ceremony overlook.
I’ve been dying for someone to take me up on this overlook for their elopement for a couple years now, and when I tell you it did not disappoint – you can see for yourself below! The pair shared their vows and literally tied the knot before exchanging rings. It was so much fun to explore the different angles of the overlook and take in the beautiful miles and miles of views below.
