I'm based in Grand Junction, CO and capture the story & scenery of your favorite day. Serving Crested Butte, Ouray, Moab, Aspen and beyond!

Cody & Claudia’s wildflower elopement in Crested Butte was full of the most amazing wildflowers in the state of Colorado, plus lake views, stunning sunset rivers, and their pup Knox!

They rolled up to our meeting coordinates outside town in the same Lunar Rock Tacoma as I was in – a funny coincidence that would bode well for the evening ahead. As we made our way to the top of this forest service road for some amazing mountain views, it became clear we had way better options for wildflowers closer to town, so once we explored the lake and surrounding areas and decided to spend the rest of the evening adventuring around the valley for some of our favorite spots.

We found hillsides FULL of red, yellow, purple and blue wildflowers – the summertime views Crested Butte is most known for. As the sun began to set, we made our way out one last forest service road to a campsite with river views that led, glowing, to the peak of Mt. Crested Butte on the horizon. There the two shared their personalized vows as their dog – in true Knox fashion – found someone else’s ball left in the river below. He showed them his new treasure as they continued their ceremony and the rosy pink light settled on the peaks around them.

After exchanging rings, the two opened some champagne to cheers to their new adventure in marriage. Knox helped them sign their marriage certificate, and Claudia and Cody changed outfits as the blue hour began, to get some images in a secondary outfit. From the change of clothes, to the change of plans for the day, this celebration embodied what makes eloping great: the freedom to have whatever kind of wedding day you want!
