Arianne and Bennett are getting married next year in the mountains of Ouray, and wanted something a little different for their engagement photos. I LOVE Moab this time of year for its cooler temps and fewer crowds, so when they selected Dead Horse for their session — and at blue hour? I was hooked! We met up a little before sunset to get both golden hour and blue hour, which I highly suggest in Moab. The way the sun dances on the red rocks of this desert changes minute by minute as the sun approaches and goes under the horizon. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen elsewhere! They perfectly paired their outfits in gem tone blues to contrast the red rocks and I will never get over those kinds of tones in the desert.
