Evan and Alex’s wedding at Town Ranch in Crested Butte was simply the next step in their adventure of life. From summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro to their beach proposal on Maui, they explore the world together but still adore a night in watching movies cuddled on the couch. Their wedding day was the perfect mix of both these sides of them: a destination wedding in Crested Butte, but a fun and relaxed celebration with their closest loved ones.

Crested Butte in the summer, to anyone who has been there before, means afternoon rain showers. They’re practically inevitable and equally predictable. Luckily for us, Alex and Evan were getting ready for the day during the afternoon rains, and we had the rest of the afternoon/evening clear with the most beautiful clouded skies! Evan and Alex’s ceremony and reception honored Evan’s Jewish culture on her dad’s side, with the breaking of the glass and their guests shouting, “Mazel Tov!” before their first kiss. During the celebration that evening they also danced the Hora, which everyone had so much fun with.

Dinner was pizza from the Secret Stash, probably the best pizza place in Colorado, and I’m officially in love with the option of pizza at weddings. We snuck out for the slight sliver of sunset we were afforded by a quick break in the clouds, and from there the evening was an incredible celebration full of laughs and some really impressive dancing until they were sent off for the night with a sparkler exit.
