Julie first approached me about their plans for a Moab elopement at Dead Horse Point in the spring, and I have been so excited for this day ever since! She told me how the trip was a bucket list item that Bobby gifted her for a significant birthday last year, and that they decided to elope while they were in Moab! Their kids, who keep close tabs on them and have been begging them to get married for years, were totally clueless about their plans to spontaneously tie the knot.
We met at Canyonlands for the formal part of the elopement: exchanging vows and rings, the “I do’s”, a champagne toast, and signing the papers. As we walked to the edge of the canyons, Julie was just ecstatic at the views, the rainbows in the distance, and that the big day was actually finally here!
After the elopement ceremony we headed over to Dead Horse Point for photographs of the two of them with the immense canyons below. I loved showing them how the colors of the area change throughout the sunset, and capturing their awe as they took in every sight to see. As the sun fell below the horizon, Julie surprised Bobby with a wedding gift in the form of a personalized country song about their love and relationship. Every moment of the evening was full of joy, awe, and unbridled happiness. It was incredible to witness! The two of them set off for a white water rafting trip the next day, proving that I am really a glorified couch potato lol. Thank you, Julie and Bobby, for having me along on such a spectacular trip. I hope it was everything you dreamed of! Take a peek at my favorite moments from their Moab elopement at Dead Horse Point:
