Sometimes true love is illuminated almost immediately. When Kari told me how Damon proposed, she mentioned that she knew on the first date that he was “the one.” Over three years later and she could not be more sure of it! The two of them are madly in love, giggling together throughout their session. We met up over the weekend at Cold Shivers Point of the Colorado National Monument — the place where Damon knelt on one knee to ask for Kari to marry him. Every year for their anniversary they meet at this location, so it was an obvious choice. When reflecting on their engagement, Kari said told me:
“As we walked down the path I could see rose petals, candles, and Christmas lights, and I started giggling. A local musician was playing acoustic guitar and serenading us with Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud. It was magical. There was a huge sign saying “Marry Me Kari” spelled out in pennies and my decision to be with this romantic, funny, perfect man was again affirmed. We danced, he got down on one knee, and we promised each other forever for the millionth time since we met. I am so blessed to have found the one person who truly gets me through and through and i cant wait to marry this man in 2016!”
