Nate and CeCe always joked about running to the court house and just signing the papers. “One night I was making tea for Nate and I while we joked about it yet again, and he just looked at me and said ‘Yea let’s actually do it.'” CeCe recalled. He then proposed right then and there! That was the beginning of their plans for a winter elopement near Ouray.
As I pulled up to the alpine lake the day of their elopement adventure, I just knew we were in for a great time. It was the perfect bluebird day with sparkly snow dusted all around! I suited up in my heaviest Loki coat as they got ready together, CeCe helping Nate with his bowtie and Nate helping button up her dress. There’s something incredibly special to me when couples help each other get ready on the day of their wedding – I’m a fan!
After we were all ready, we headed out the trail to explore the snowy area and marvel at the jaw-dropping scenery. Coming from GJ where it’s still in the 50s, it was fun to finally tromp through some snow! Nate and CeCe have been together almost nine years, so they had that comfy love that made candids so much fun and the whole adventure was just easy going. At our final stop for the day, the two celebrated finally being married with a champagne toast and we parted ways for their mini-moon in area over the weekend. It was such a wonderful afternoon, take a peek at some of my favorite moments from their winter elopement near Ouray:
