I'm based in Grand Junction, CO and capture the story & scenery of your favorite day. Serving Crested Butte, Ouray, Moab, Aspen and beyond!

Miracle Rock (aka Potato Rock, apparently) is an anomaly here near the Grand Valley whose symbolism really lends itself to engagement sessions! Towering seemingly on little foundation, with as little as four inches of connection to the ground beneath it in places, it has stood (albeit precariously) for hundreds or thousands of years. A formation that strong and lasting is a beautiful backdrop for beginning your journey to forever, so I was stoked when Trisha and Gilbert chose to do their engagement session at Miracle Rock.

We explored the area around Miracle Rock – they were troopers through the crazy wind we’ve had lately! They mentioned to me how they chose the springtime for both their engagement photos and their wedding next year because of its significance for new beginnings, great memories, and life starting up again. With that in mind we captured lots of the new greenery and flowers popping up in the area! A new season of the year for their new season of life. Take a peek at some of my favorites from their engagement session at Miracle Rock:
