I'm based in Grand Junction, CO and capture the story & scenery of your favorite day. Serving Crested Butte, Ouray, Moab, Aspen and beyond!

Welcome, nature enthusiasts and romantics! Today, we’re sharing the story of Haley and Nathan’s elopement with guests at Canyonlands.

Haley and Nathan chose to blend intimacy with family inclusion for their special day. (Wondering about eloping with guests? Click here for my full guide!) They selected an accessible overlook in Canyonlands, so that their grandparents could more easily witness the ceremony. The vast canyon served as a magnificent backdrop as the couple exchanged vows, creating an emotional moment for all present.

Following the ceremony, the family gathered for photos against the stunning red rock formations. As the day progressed, Haley, Nathan, and I separated from the guests as the group went ahead to dinner reservations, while we ventured to Dead Horse Point State Park for sunset portraits. The fading light painted the sky in warm hues, casting a golden glow over the newlyweds as they stood overlooking the Colorado River.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Haley and Nathan shared a kiss, perfectly concluding a day filled with love, family, and awe-inspiring scenery.

Here’s to Haley and Nathan – may your love be as enduring as the landscape that witnessed your union! Take a peek at my favorite moments from their elopement with guests at Canyonlands:
