This Grand Junction elopement at the Botanical Gardens & BLM Land Overlook was such an incredible day full of love and beauty! We started the afternoon with Jaya and Mike at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens (want to get married there? click here for more info on my blog!) where the two got dressed separately for a first look in the rainforest room. I said hello to the little grey kitty who was inhabiting the room while we waited lol. Jaya and Mike saw each other in their wedding attire for the first time, the other’s outfits entirely a surprise. Mike’s tan suit was a perfect fit for the day ahead, with plenty of colorful backdrops that its neutrality really made it shine through! Jaya completed her lacy dress with a palm tree necklace Mike gave her as a special memory of a cruise they shared together.
The two exchanged vows under another palm tree, tying the two special moments together like they tied their lives together, before we explored the gardens for photos. I definitely recommend utilizing this space in the winter and spring months before much life is happening outside – any later in the year and you’ll be regretting the heat and humidity of the gardens (trust me!) As the gardens closed for the day we decided to head downtown for dinner at TacoParty, a personal favorite of mine for couples looking for a fun and delicious dinner option. After eating we explored downtown for a bit and ended up at the parking garage for some neutral backdrops to offset the colorful ones we had previously.
We finally ended the evening at an incredible overlook on BLM Land as the sun set below the horizon and created an amazing blue hour for us to play with. Take a peek at my favorite moments from their Grand Junction elopement at the Botanical Gardens and BLM Land:
