Not every elopement has to be a big to-do. I love every celebration I get to witness where the couple is so focused on creating an experience that is true to them! Ivan and Carissa wanted to keep things lowkey and fun, and of course include their pup in the affair. They donned flannel shirts (amazing) and exchanged a few words on the side of a mountain before signing the papers on a nearby rock. Did you know in Colorado your pup can sign as a witness? Their fur baby did just that (and I made a mental note to put baby wipes in my camera bag – dirty paws make it harder for the ink to stick haha.) After the formalities we explored the area, making sure to stick to trails and rocks to avoid stomping on the many wildflowers that were sticking around!
