When Leslie and James approached me to capture their picnic elopement in Moab, I was already looking at a super busy fall season. But when I heard their plans and the team they had assembled, I knew I wanted to document the moments! We met a little after sunrise at the base of a BLM road to caravan up together to the ceremony spot where Val with Tellurian Events had set up the cutest bohemian picnic for the morning’s festivities, complete with a charcuterie board and an intimate sharing cake ideal for two people.
Ruth, their Moab officiant, led them to the cliffside for the ceremony, with views of Castleton in the background for the event. Fisher Towers and the rising sun witnessed their promises to one another, the exchange of rings, and their first kiss as a married couple. After the ceremony we signed the papers to make it official before the two cut the cake and took a moment to enjoy their picnic and a toast.
After the events we explored the area for portraits and I did a few happy dances with how beautiful everything was. Take a peek at some of my favorite moments from their picnic elopement in Moab:
